Geneva International Motor Show

The Geneva International Motor Show, widely regarded as one of the most important motor shows in the world, celebrates its 85th anniversary with more than 900 cars on display.

All the major manufacturers will be present, giving a glimpse into the future of automobiles. High-end manufacturers such as Aston Martin, Bugatti, Koenigsegg, Lotus and McLaren will amaze spectators and make their imaginations run wild.

Designers such as ED Design, Italdesign Giugiaro, Pinnfarina and high-performance specialists such as ABT, Carlsson, Hamann, Klassen, Mansori, MTM and Ruf also will display their latest models.

Since 2009, the Motor Show has been on the leading edge of environmentally friendly cars, including about 100 in this year’s show that are officially classified as “green.”

On March 2, just prior to the opening of the show, the Car of the Year will be announced in the lobby of the Palexpo convention center. The 2015 contenders for Car of the Year include an incredible variety of vehicles: BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, Citroen C4 Cactus, Ford Mondeo, Mercedes-Benz C Class, Nissan Qashqai, Renault Twingo and Volkswagen Passat.

The Motor Show continues from March 5-15 and is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 7p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
